MaineGeneral ED Patient Reporting
Thayer and Augusta emergency departments at Maine General have requested a change in the patient reporting procedure. Both ED’s would like to have the phone utilized as a primary means of communication when calling in a patient report to the ED. The use of the radio will be a secondary means.
By providing a patient report via phone results greater confidentiality to patients and the opportunity to provide patient specifics to the ED staff if needed. This change is effective immediately.
